In the biggest release week that the industry has seen in quite some time, Ubisoft’s stealth-sequel Assassin’s Creed: Origins has fought off Nintendo’s Super Mario Odyssey and Bethesda’s Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus to take the top spot in the UK Charts.

In a listing crammed with big-budget releases, Gran Turismo: Sport dropped a gear from first place to fifth, whilst previous high rollers Shadow of War, WWE 2K18 and South Park: The Fractured But Whole are slowly being pushed out of the Top Ten. Destiny 2 retains seventh place from last week.

Pour a forty for Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy, which has finally left the Top Ten, where it has been sitting pretty ever since its initial release in June. Well done, Vicarious Visions. Be sure to tune in next week to see Call of Duty: WW2 debut at number one.
