Ubisoft has announced that a remastered edition of 2012’s stab-’em-up Assassin’s Creed III will be launching on PS4, PC and Xbox One next month. The re-release can be purchased as a standalone title for $40 or is included as part of the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey season pass.

As a quick refresher, AC III is “The American Revolution one,” and sees players step into the buckled boots of Connor, as he battles the secret society of Templars aiming to capture the colonies during the mid-1700s. Assassin’s Creed III features all the rooftop-climbing, shadows-hiding, skull-caving action one can expect from the series, but unfortunately falls through the gaps of the timeline, being book-ended by the excellent Assassin’s Creed II and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Assassin’s Creed III Remastered features higher-resolution textures and a whole new graphics engine, as well as numerous tweaks to gameplay in general. DLC add-ons such as Tyranny of King Washington and spin-off Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation are included in this release.

Assassin’s Creed III Remastered launches on PS4, PC and Xbox One March 29.
