Assassin’s Creed creator unveils Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey

It’s episodic

In 2010, Patrice Desilets decided to leave Ubisoft, and thus, his creation, Assassin’s Creed. He returned in 2011 with THQ, then in 2013 his studio was sold back to Ubisoft. Then he was fired.

He had quite a ride, but he’s ready to get back into the game under the Panache Digital Games banner with Ancestors: the Humankind Odyssey. It’s a “third-person action-adventure survival episodic game” (what a mouthful), and it apparently allows you to relive the “greatest moments of mankind” with a documentary twist.

This has the potential to be a controversial tearjerker if they explore specific moments in history. No platforms were announced.
