Armikrog funded, Wii U stretch goal achieved

Kickstarter raises over $300,000 in final four days

With four days to go, and a little more than $250,000 needed to reach $900,000, it wasn’t looking too favorable for the Armikrog Kickstarter to reach its funding goal. On top of that, announcing a stretch goal of $950,000 for an enhanced Wii U version only seemed that much more unattainable for the claymation point-and-click adventure title.

Well, after more than 4,500 last-minute backers and more than $300,000 raised down the stretch, Armikrog has been funded and better yet is coming to the Nintendo Wii U eShop.

Slated for an estimated release of July next year, in addition to the Wii U version, Armikrog will be available for PC, Mac OSX, and Linux. The game will be localized into seven languages (French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Polish, and English) and will be distributed through GOG.com, The Humble Store, and other yet-to-be-announced distribution methods. For Steam fans, the game is currently up on the Steam Greenlight service where it can be voted on for its inevitable release on the digital platform.

FUNDED–because of you!!! [Kickstarter — Thanks, Michael]
