Archie Mega Man vs. Bad Box Art Mega Man

Mega Man #33 variant cover is the dream fight

Recommended Videos

Archie has released the cover art for Mega Man #33, which immediately follows the “Blackout: The Curse of Ra Moon” arc currently running. What’s amazing is not the regular newsstand cover but the variant, featuring the infamous Bad Box Art Mega Man locked in combat with our true blue hero. If only in a non-canonical capacity, it would be cool if an entire issue was actually dedicated to that “dream” match — many folks still sour over Street Fighter X Tekken would be pleased.

The actual cover, however, leans a little spoilerific. I’ve freely shared Archie covers in the past, but this one gave me a bit of pause. As a passionate fan of the series, I love absorbing as much news and information as possible, but at the same time, I enjoy the thrill of the surprise. Even though every reader knows that the Ra Moon arc has been set up to lead into the Mega Man 3 adaptation, exactly how the story reaches that point should have plenty of twists and turns to keep anyone in suspense. I feel like I’m starting to spoil to much for myself.

But if you have no qualms about knowing what’s just around the corner, feel free to check out the standard MM#33 cover in the gallery below.
