Archie Comics teases more Mega Man X goodness

‘Two heroes, two eras’

Late last year, it was announced that Archie Comics would be tackling the Mega Man X series in a two issue “backup” storyline that ran concurrent with their Mega Man Classic comic franchise. But Archie always noted that with fan demand, there could be more Mega Man X related happenings in the future.

Curiously, they’ve just teased a new potential continuation, with Mega Man X looking into a pit that has what appears to be the original Mega Man’s helmet. Dr. Cain and Sigma are also shown in the background, and the tagline “two heroes, two eras, one chance to save the future,” is part of the image. A spring 2014 date is listed.

I’m currently reaching out to Archie now to get to the bottom of what this may be, but we may very well be looking at more Mega Man X comics, and I’m perfectly okay with that.
