Bugsnax, Turnip Boy, and more close out the April Xbox Game Pass lineup

Plus more Assassin’s Creed, sometime soon

Xbox is locking in a few more Game Pass games for the end of April, and a little more for the future. Some indie jams are hitting the service, while the Ubisoft offerings will also expand.

Leading off today’s Xbox blog is the news that Assassin’s Creed Origins will be coming to Game Pass for cloud, console, and PC. It’ll arrive via the Ubisoft Connect app. There isn’t a date however, as it’s set to arrive “in the next two months.”

That’s a big summer game if you need to fill the vacation hours, though. For Honor: Marching Fire Edition will also come to PC via the Ubisoft Connect app, with upgrades to the Marching Fire version coming to cloud and console.

Talkin’ bout Bugsnax

As for what’s on the way in April, Xbox Game Pass has a few neat ones in store to close out the month. F1 2021 and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered are cloud-bound via EA Play. Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion slides in today as well, one day after the tax deadline. How fitting!

Bugsnax will also be a day one Game Pass launch, as it makes its Xbox debut. And indie action-RPG Unsouled closes out the month with a day one Game Pass launch.

A neat inclusion near the end of the blog is that touch-control compatibility has been added to a few more cloud games. Top among them, in my eyes, are Zero Escape: The Nonary Games and Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition, which are native touch enabled. As someone who played both on the PlayStation Vita, this update just feels right. Blasting arguments in a trial feels much better with touch controls.

Here’s the lineup for the end of April:

  • F1 2021 – April 19 (Cloud via EA Play)
  • Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered – April 19 (Cloud via EA Play)
  • Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion – April 19 (Cloud, console, PC)
  • 7 Days to Die – April 26 (Cloud, console, PC)
  • Research and Destroy – April 26 (Console, PC)
  • Bugsnax – April 28 (Cloud, console, PC)
  • Unsouled – April 28 (Console, PC)

And leaving at the end of April:

  • Cricket 19 (Cloud, console, PC)
  • Outlast 2 (Cloud, console, PC)
  • Secret Neighbor (Cloud, console, PC)
  • Streets of Rage 4 (Cloud, console, PC)
