Apparently Star Wars: Rogue Squadron was nearly ported to two additional consoles

Also, George Lucas had a Chewbacca-based game cancelled

When you’re dealing with a franchise that’s as all-encompassing and monolithic as Star Wars, there’s bound to be a few projects that, for one reason or another, end up getting cancelled.

The latest video by Unseen64 contributor Liam Robertson discusses a small handful of these cancelled projects. While it mostly relates to various canned games by Factor 5, including two separate ports of the Rogue Squadron franchise, a reasonable amount of time is spent another title that was to focus on Chewbacca’s years as a bounty hunter between the events of Star Wars Episode III and IV.

I do find it to be somewhat of a shame that, according to the video, Disney has a near-complete Wii port of the Rogue Squadron games in their archives that will more than likely never see the light of day. It seems like something that would make for a great Wii U eShop release.
