APB the ‘bastard child’ of Grand Theft Auto

Realtime Worlds’ Colin Macdonald has stated that upcoming MMO, All Points Bulletin represents everything that creator Dave Jones has wanted to do since he worked on the first Grand Theft Auto.

“It’s the bastard child of everything we’ve been striving towards over the 15-20 years that Realtime Worlds, DMA and David Jones have been making games,” stated Macdonald. “It’s where we want to go in terms of sandbox gameplay and everything that started with Grand Theft Auto and was evolving through Crackdown.”

Dave Jones is the man responsible for founding DMA twenty years ago, and was also a crucial part in the creation of the original Grand Theft Auto. After DMA was acquired by Rockstar, he went on to found Realtime Worlds.

APB comes from good stock, and should be a very interesting MMO. Best of luck to this bastard child.
