Assassin’s Creed 2 came out last year. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood hits shelves tomorrow. Next year, expect another Assassin’s Creed title, says Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.
Speaking on an investors call today, Guillemot is short on details, but says “There will be something around Assassin’s [next year]. That’s all we can say.” CFO Alain Martinez later chimes in saying we may hear more information in January regarding “what kind of product” Guillemot is referring to.
Earlier this year, Ubisoft Montreal’s Jean-Francois Boivin suggested we’d see a break; the higher ups and Ubisoft clearly don’t care what he thinks. My review of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood hits tomorrow, and while I can’t really say anything yet, let’s just say I’m pleased to hear we’ll be getting more of something next year.
