Animales de la Muerte rises from the grave for XBLA, PSN

Yet another downloadable title ditches the WiiWare platform for the (apparently) cozier confines of the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network. This time it’s High Voltages crazy-looking top-down shooter, Animales de la Muerte.

Originally announced as a WiiWare exclusive, the game will be hitting PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade for realsies in… okay, the the developer isn’t saying just yet. But High Voltage isn’t messing around anymore, and have shown the game to IGN, who said the developer “has enough going on here to make for a memorable experience.”

Caveat: apparently the game is still “very much a work in progress,” and “the game’s graphics won’t blow you away” despite running on a new engine to take advantage of the new platforms. If you recall, the game was first announced in 2008, making it the Duke Nukem Forever of downloadable games featuring zombie walruses.

Still, we’re talking about zombie walruses here. That’s worth the wait, right?
