After a few false starts, Frictional Games and thechineseroom have what looks to be the finalized release date for Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. It’s felt like a long wait given the sharp rise in popularity of The Dark Descent these past couple years, but we’re less than a month out from the September 10, 2013 launch on GOG.com and Steam. It’s nearly here.

Watching this short trailer was enough to remind me that I could use another few weeks to mentally prepare myself. That audio design sent chills down my spine. If you’re set on getting A Machine for Pigs, now would be the time to buy — you’ll save four bucks off the regular $19.99 price tag by pre-purchasing on either of the aforementioned platforms.
