Amazon has The Untold History of Japanese Game Developers for free

Just yesterday, I was reading up on a canceled decades-old Konami fighting game whose character sketches are, uh, better seen than described. What a what-if! The information originated from author John Szczepaniak and his book The Untold History of Japanese Game Developers.

As luck would have it, that book is free on Amazon until tomorrow. (You don’t need to use a Kindle.)

Untold History Vol. 1 is over 500 pages of interviews, photos, and artwork. Given how little I know about the Japanese game development scene in the ’80s and ’90s, this should quite an educational read.
