[Update: A rep for THQ gave us a comment on this situation. “Amazon and Wal-Mart.com have raised the prices back up and it was a one day play to gain market share on the biggest title in the industry right now. THQ did not support this in any way, shape, or form.”]
Yikes. Troubling news for THQ’s most pre-ordered game ever, Homefront. Well, troubling for THQ and Kaos Studios, I should point out, not necessarily for you.
Walmart is offering the console versions of the game for $41.96 online, as is Amazon. No love for the PC crowd, I guess. In case you weren’t aware, Homefront did, in fact, release in North America just yesterday.
I know the reviews have been, well — let’s just call them “mixed.” But dang! We aren’t really used to day-after price slashes here.
