All Warframe Lich Progenitors

So many options!

As many people know, the Kuva Lich and Sisters of Parvos weapons are some of the best in Warframe. Obtaining the weapons is a whole process that requires players to have some pretty strong endgame builds and a plethora of Requiem Mods.

What is a Lich Progenitor?

A Progenitor is the Warframe that determines what element a Kuva Lich or Sister of Parvos’ weapon is. The reason this is important is because you already know what you’re locking yourself into once you perform a Mercy Kill on a Larvling or Corpus Candidate.

Say you just started out and received a Lich or Sister with a high weapon bonus. If you do not like the element you started out with, you can swap that out by completing your current one and matching the weapon of a different element to overwrite that. You’ll maintain the bonus, so that’s a huge plus.

What is the best Lich Progenitor?

It’s a toss-up between Heat, Cold, Toxin, and Radiation progenitors. These are the most versatile elements you can get in this whole Lich system. That isn’t to say that the elements not listed aren’t good in their own right, but these just provide more lethality against all the factions to some degree.

For example, if you snag a Kuva Nukor from a Lich, you can put Fire damage on it. That will make the weapon deal innate Fire and Radiation damage. If you mod the weapon to also have Viral (Toxin + Cold) damage, you now have a gun that can destroy all types of Grineer enemies in a matter of seconds. More examples exist out there, but the Lich system somewhat defies the rules of elemental combinations. You normally can’t get a weapon that does Radiation and Fire damage since Fire is what’s needed to create Radiation.

Having Heat as a Progenitor element allows you to either customize your weapons to deal Viral damage for the health debuff, Corrosive for additional armor strip, or Magnetic for shield depletion.

The other elements (Cold, Electricity, Toxin) are good for mixing. It also frees up a mod slot that you’d otherwise use to create elemental combinations. Pair that with the potential that these weapons can also go up to level 40. You now can make so many powerhouse weapons that can easily breeze through the hardest content in the game!
