Assassin’s Creed Shadows isn’t only about hacking down your enemies (or taking them down more precisely), as you’ll come across a few riddles to solve.
When you encounter these riddles, it largely depends on the quests you complete. Solving them can be challenging, as the answers require a lot of soul-searching, to say the least. Thankfully, this guide will help you to solve them quite easily.

How to complete the first riddle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
The first riddle will be the one you find as Yasuke in Sakai. You may find a man near the Kakurega and wager Mon to begin the challenge. You’ll find three options to pick from, and the one you’re looking for is “Is it tobacco smoke?”
You’ll find you get peculiar reactions with the two other responses. Once you solve the riddle, you will have a decision to make. You can either get back the Mon, and extra, for answering correctly or go for something much more precious. How to complete the second riddle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
The second one can be encountered in the Iga region. Depending on your luck, you’ll find a noblewoman near the Mibuno Vale’s Gear vendor. If you can’t find her, switch to Naoe to increase your luck. She will show you a tiny seashell, and you’ll have to guess which province it’s from. The correct answer is, “I believe it’s from Wakasa.”
