Red boxes in SAND: Raiders of Sophie tend to offer the best types of loot, and you should always be on the lookout for them. These boxes are similar to White and Green Boxes/Crates, but the loot is better.
Let’s check out all the valuable items you can find and how each of them works in the game.
All Red Crate items in SAND: Raiders of Sophie
Red Boxes/Crates aren’t very common (at least that was the case with the play test). You should still be able to find them if you’re lucky. The list below has all the items that you might be able to find from them. Crate items are always handed out randomly; if you have something specific you’re looking for, it might take longer to find.

Deployables
- Podorozhnyk Bio-Emitter: Creates a dome around you and your allies and heals everyone by restoring lost health.
- Pestkop-Lorenz Amplifier: Creates a yellow dome that boosts the damage of all cannons and firearms within the affected area by +100%.
- Domovyk Protective Dome: Creates a blue dome that acts like a shield and absorbs all incoming damage.
- Von Liebig Reflector: Creates a directional shield that reflects all incoming damage.
Weapons
- Experimental 80mm: Powerful cannon whose bullets have high damage and shell velocity.
- Experimental 40mm: Decent gun that fires faster once it heats up.
- Experimental 70mm: Powerful cannon that fires two shells.
- The Great Silence: Single-use rifle that fires an EMP shell, which can trigger AoE damage.
- Orbital Strike Designator: Marks an area for Orbital Strike. Highly inaccurate but does incredible damage in the area of the strike.
Misc.
- Smokeless Rods: Fuel rods that remove smoke created from the engine and movement of the trampler.
- Smoke Grenades: Creates a big cloud of smoke to hide players from enemies.
I believe there could be more items to discover from the Red Boxes. When I found a Red Box in the early access launch version, I found items from the ones mentioned above. Their function seems to have remained the same.
If you’re not having much luck, try to look into the cities and the buildings. They typically have more crates to offer. Don’t forget to bring a box or two since you will be unable to carry everything back safely.
