The demand for Pirate Treasure Chests has certainly increased a notch in Fortnite Treasure Hunters. The mini-season has introduced an interesting system that allows you to redeem all shop items for free. This allows you to pick up a lot of premium cosmetics for free.
The key to that is finding the tokens that come from the regular chests. In this guide, I will list the locations of all popular spots where these chests can spawn.

The Crossbones Isle map is different from the standard one, and it will remain active throughout the new season. There’s a total of 901 spawn spots, with 243 of them guaranteed ones. There are several spots where multiple treasure chests can possibly spawn.

The image above has all the spots you’ll want to hit to find a Treasure Chest. The number of chests you find will vary. As always, every chest can be opened just once, so it all depends on your luck entirely.
Best landing spots to find chests in Fortnite
The chests are spread pretty evenly around the map, but there are a few hotspots.
- Arlong Park has plenty of chests concentrated over a relatively small space.
- Lantern Landing is yet another great spot to target if you’re purely focusing on picking up as many chests as you can.
- For that matter, any POI is a hotspot of chests, but you’ll always run into players. Hence, it’s a skill of survival as well.
Finding these chests provides you with a chance to open the Pirate Shop, and there are plenty of other valuables available in the pool of rewards. Don’t forget to try your luck at the vaults since each of them offer four guaranteed Rare Treasure Chests.
