The Mesa update added ten new badges to PEAK, bringing the total number of badges in the game from 32 to 42. As you can probably guess, you can only unlock most of the new badges while playing in the MESA, a craggy, sun-bleached desert full of natural perils and hidden secrets. Here’s how to unlock every new badge in PEAK.

BadgeDescriptionHow to unlock
Aueronotics BadgeAchieve flight.Equip five Ballons to yourself.
Astronomy BadgeLook a little too closely at the blazing sun.Use the Binoculars to look into the sun in the MESA.
Cool Cucumber BadgeClimb over the MESA without ever having over 10% HEAT.Use the Sunscreen, the Parasol, or good old-fashioned sun-dodging to reach the MESA’s Campfire without taking 10% HEAT.
Daredevil BadgeShoot across the MESA canyon in a Scout Cannon.Use the Scout Cannon to fire another player over the canyon at the foot of the MESA’s central plateau.
Megaentomology BadgeSurvive an Antlion attack.Fall into an Antlion pit, let yourself get bitten, then have a friend pull you to safety. If you’re playing solo, tie yourself to a rope, secure it with a few pitons, and pull yourself out of the Antlion’s pit after it bites you.
Needlepoint BadgeHave a lot of cactuses stuck to you.Let five of the MESA’s small cactuses get stuck on you, then pull them off.
Nomad BadgeClimb past the MESA.Make it to the Campfire at the top of the MESA for the first time.
Resourcefulness BadgeGive into your hunger.Wait until your hunger drops below 60%, then press “E” on another player to eat them after they’ve fallen unconscious.
24 Karot BadgeOffer the Kiln a worthy sacrifice.Take the Golden Idol in the TOMB area and throw it into the lava. Impossible to complete as of writing due to an invisible wall glitch plaguing the MESA.
Ultimate BadgeCatch a Flying Disk from 100m away.Grab the Flying Disk on the SHORE, climb to the Campfire, and toss it down to another player stationed at the starting area.

What’s more, unlocking these badges will also reward you with new cosmetics in PEAK, so check out our article on the topic if you’re interested.
