The world of extraction shooter games is a marathon, not a race, but sometimes it is a Marathon.
Even with Marathon, though, it’s a race to get some free in-game loot as part of the Twitch Drops campaign. Although the full game is due to launch on March 5, Bungie is letting all players in on a Server Slam weekend where everyone can try out a sampling of the game.
Even if you can’t or don’t want to play the Server Slam, though, you can keep an eye on how the title is looking by watching the game on Twitch and even earning some free drops for in-game items in the process, in case you change your mind and want to visit the deadly planet of Tau Ceti IV.
Here’s what you can get just for watching the Marathon server slam from Feb. 26 to March 2.

All Marathon Twitch drops
Here are all of the free items you can get in Marathon just by watching the server slam:
- Twitch Sponsored Kit
- Standard in-game loot (Watch for 1 hour)
- Profile Emblem
- SMILEYworm (Watch for 1 hour)
- Profile Background
- WEAVEworm (Watch for 2 hours)
- Weapon Sticker
- GLOWworm (Watch for 3 hours)
- Weapon Skin (Style)
- HMG Twitch Engine (Watch for 4 hours)
How to get Marathon Twitch Drops
In order to claim drops, here’s what you need to do:
- Link your Bungie account to your Twitch account.
- Watch any Marathon streams during the Server Slam.
- Server Slam takes place from 12pm CT on Feb. 26 to 12pm CT on March 3, 2026.
- Make sure to claim the drops from your Twitch Inventory.
- Bungie says that the “Twitch Sponsored Kit may take up to 48 hours to arrive in your in-game Mailbox and must be redeemed by March 31.”
