How to Fish has a host of different items for you to purchase and use, but the game doesn’t do a good job when it comes to explaining their roles. Some items, like the fishing rods, are basic and easy to understand.
However, there are plenty more things you can get with your in-game money, and this guide will briefly explain all of them.
All items in How to Fish
Every location in How to Fish has a shopkeeper, and they will sell you a wide variety of products. The more locations you unlock, the more options you have. The following table has every item you can find in the current build of the game.

| Knife | Cheap melee weapon that allows you to kill and catch fish in the beginner areas. |
| Radar | Helps you spot different islands using their coordinates. |
| Beer | Serves as a bait to defeat the Spider Crab. |
| Radio | Allows you to play music. |
| Engine Upgrades | Increases the movement speed of your boat. |
| Weapon Upgrades | Improves the potential of your weapons. Some of them improves the damage, while others act as extra attachments. |
| Badball | Fun item that floats on the water. Doesn’t have any real use, but you can pass it to your buddies. |
| Disc | Operates like a Frisbee as you can throw it in different directions. |
| Inventory Slots | Allow you to get more inventory slots. You can get +1 from each island. |
| Weapons | Comes in the form of Pistol, Shotgun, SMG, Sniper Rifle, and Assault Rifle. |
| Dynamite | Explosives that can kill multiple fish simultaneously with a blast. |
As I mentioned above, the shops on the first few islands will be limited. You can check out what each island offers for you to purchase to plan better. Needless to say, the fourth island with the volcano is where you have the most number of purchasable items and upgrades available.
