Hades 2 has entered its first playable Technical Test, announced on April 16. Fans of the action rogue-lite are likely wondering if their favorite heroes and villains are returning for the sequel. Here are all the Hades 2 voice actors and the characters they play — so far.
Developer Supergiant Games isn’t wiping the slate clean with Hades 2. Many gods, demigods, and other characters from the original game are returning in the sequel, bringing their voice actors in tow. The protagonist Melinoë will indeed receive help from many of the familiar faces who aided her brother in the prior game.

Unconfirmed returning characters
The list of unconfirmed characters includes those who have been hinted at, but it’s currently unknown how or if they’ll make their presence known in the sequel, as well as those who haven’t shown up. For the most part, you should expect some of these characters and their respective voice actors to appear in some form or another.
- Zagreus and Skelly, played by Darren Korb
- Zagreus is Melinoë’s brother and one of her family members she’s attempting to rescue from Chronos. It’s highly likely he’ll be in the game, but probably not as a playable character this time.
- Skelly is sadly absent in the sequel and is totally not Schelemeus, the charismatic and respected hero who may be a skeleton wearing a beard. Wait a minute.
- Nyx, played by Jamie Landrum
- Nyx is an important character in the original Hades, but she may not have a reason to be in the sequel.
- Ares, played by Cyrus Nemati
- The god of war seemed to be absent from the technical test gameplay, but that doesn’t mean he’s out for good.
- Hermes, played by Andrew Marks
- The herald of the gods may be quick to return.
- Persephone, voiced by Laila Berzins
- The queen of the underworld and wife to Hades is a major part of Melinoë’s quest (especially since she’s her mother), so she’ll likely show.
There are many other characters in the original game, but their inclusion in Hades 2 isn’t likely. Characters like Asterius, Sisyphus, and Dusa certainly have many fans, but their role may end up only relegated to the first game. That’s not a guarantee, of course. Supergiant Games clearly loves the story of Hades and the characters therein, so maybe they’ll make some kind of appearance in the end.
