Graveyard Keeper 2 has no shortage of workstations to build and items to craft, so you’ll need to find the resources that are spread all around the map. Some materials are easy to get, while others are more difficult to obtain.
In this guide, I will discuss the best source for each material so that you’re never in a shortage.
How to find all crafting resources in Graveyard Keeper 2
So far, I believe I have found every bit of resource you can get in the game. However, I like to separate them in two groups. The table below contains a list of items that are easy to find. While you’ll need them in plenty, you won’t have to work hard to locate them.

| Clay | One of the easiest materials to get, you can dig Clay in your base. You’ll also find it in several spots outside your base. Typically, they will look like a hole surrounded by grass, and you’ll need the shovel. |
| Copper | Go to the west of your base (where the bridge is located). You’ll find Copper right by the pond where you learn to fish. |
| Stone | Since you’ll run into blockages almost anywhere you go, finding Stone isn’t a problem. As long as you have your pickaxe, you can clear them to gain Stone. Go south from your home in the Inquisitor Base, and you’ll find a mine that gives you infinite quantities of Stone. |
| Water | The well is located near your base, and you can use it to gain as much water as required. |
The items listed below are significantly harder to find. Some of them can be obtained only if you produce them.
Fire
Once you gain access to the Chopping Spot, you can craft Firewood. To do so, you’ll need Small Log or Sticks. Whenever you clear a shrub/dried plant, you’ll get Stick. Once you have Firewood, you need to unlock the Firewood Shed I blueprint.
Then, build the workstation near other stations that require fire to use. You can then use the Firewood Shed to produce fire for you. This is the only known way to get the resource.
Ink
First, unlock the Crematorium I to place it in the morgue. This is a necessity as you can burn bad bodies to ensure your graveyard reputation is intact. However, burning bodies will get you Ash. Next, we will have to make Melted Fat. You can do so by burning the following items at the Distillation Cube.
- One Fat (take from a body at the Autopsy Table)
- Two Clay Plates
- 20 Fire
Once you have both Ash and Melted Fat, go to the Writing Desk, and spend one Ash, one Water, and one Melted Fat. This will get you your Ink.
Honey
You’ll find beehives on certain trees in your base. You can extract Honey from these hives. All hives have a timer that needs to refresh before you can get more Honey.
Iron
You’ll come across large brown nodes that shine in the light. You’ll find them in your base and the Forest. These nodes will provide you with Iron pending you have sufficient mastery.
Sand
You’ll find Sand southwest of your base under the fishing spot. Look for the stream and you’ll find sand on its banks. Once you unlock Sluice Box in the game, you can then convert Tin to Sand.
Marble
This is the only resource you can’t find in your base. You have to first gain access to the Forest, which allows you to use the mine showing in the image above. You can mine as many Marble you want. Furthermore, you can also find Marble from certain chests.
