Here are all of the known characters for Mario Kart World so far. We spotted all of these characters in the official trailer for Mario Kart World that aired during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct and in the key game artwork. Many of them only appear far away in the background for a few brief seconds, but they’re still recognizable if you look closely.
This is already the biggest roster of characters featured in any Mario Kart game so far, but there could be even more playable characters included who haven’t been revealed yet. We’ll update this list if any other additional characters are unveiled in the future.

How many characters are there in Mario Kart World?
Based on the reveal trailer and key artwork, there are at least 50 playable characters for Mario Kart World. This is a massive number of characters to choose from, and it might not even be the entire list. 50 is a solid number, though, so there’s also a decent chance this is the entire roster.
Characters in Mario Kart World also have costumes, and some of the ones that have been teased make them look like completely different people. This makes the character roster feel even larger, although these costumes don’t count as extra playable characters.
