According to an official listing from Nintendo’s website, “all” amiibo figures will be compatible with Pokkén Tournament for Wii U, and will unlock “in-game items” upon use. While we’ve known that using the Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card will unlock the aforementioned character, now it’s clear that you can use your entire collection — though exact details are unknown at this time.

Accessories like shades and silly mustaches are a staple of Namco Bandai fighting games so it makes perfect sense. Maybe someone will get to wear Charizard’s skin?
