In what has to be the worst timing ever, Air Accident Experience has been released for the Oculus Rift. The experience is educational and teaches players what to do in a situation where your airplane crash lands into the ocean.

It was developed at the University of Udine’s Human-Computer Interaction Lab with seemingly no ill intent as its creators state, “A user study has shown that the virtual experience produces better knowledge retention results than traditional aviation safety education materials.”

Air Accident Experience comes just days after the tragic loss of 150 lives in the Germanwings crash of Flight 9525 into the Alps.
