Aer’s proof-of-concept trailer is very pretty indeed

Swedish indie title is eye catching to say the least

An eye-catching trailer with a distinct art style is always going to get my attention and this debut trailer for Aer is no exception. Created by Forgotten Key, a small indie studio in Sweden, it shows off a simple, block art style but one that’s colorful and distinct as well.

Whilst it’s an early glimpse at the game, there’s some standout scenes here like the female protagonist skis here way down a snowy (or is that cloudy?) peak before launching into the sky transforming into a blue bird.

There’s scant details about the actual gameplay here but the studio’s website mentions “sandbox-like gameplay” and the ability to explore various worlds, presumably via the power of transforming into a bird as you saw in the trailer. This trailer is described as a proof of concept but I’m seeing a lot to like already. Here’s hoping for some more solid info soon.
