Aegis Defenders looks like a rad co-op tower defense platformer, coming to Switch

Also, PC and PS4

When its developers describe Aegis Defenders as “a Metroidvania-style action-platformer truly unlike any other game you’ve ever played,” the stakes are going to be high. While that description is a take it or leave it kind of thing, the game itself looks gorgeous (and very Nausicaä-esque), and I adore the idea of split-screen platforming/tower defense co-op.

Originally unveiled all the way back in 2014, Aegis Defenders has now pivoted to Switch, as well as PC and PS4, and is aiming for a February 8 release date. Also revealed back in 2014 — the Shovel Knight cameo is still happening.

It was off my radar for a bit, and now it’s back on it.
