We’ve mentioned 8-bit hip-hop/electronic artist A_Rival numerous times on Destructoid, and he was hands down one of the best acts at MAGFest X earlier this month. He managed to pack the room full during his set that started at nearly 3:30 AM, having the majority of the audience join him on stage during his awesome electro/8-bit TMNT remix that brought his set to a close and sent everyone off into the morning feeling pretty good.
I guess A_Rival knew he had something special on his hands and has prepared a short EP titled the TMNT 2012 EP featuring said remix as well as a brief rap about wanting to be a teenage mutant ninja turtle when he grows up. Both tracks are available via A_Rival’s Bandcamp page where you can name your own price. Maybe I’m biased by my strong memories from that magical performance, but I think it’s worth checking out and throwing a few bucks his way.
