Remember Cloning Clyde? It was one of the earliest (decent) Xbox LIVE Arcade games and was created by one of the stronger supporters of the distribution service, developer NinjaBee. The studio has put out a handful of XBLA games so far, and hey, it’s not about to stop doing so.

NinjaBee will once again be working with J. Kenworthy Entertainment to helm the production of Ancients of Ooga, a spiritual successor to Cloning Clyde. The game promises to bring “originality, humor, its own unique artistic style, and extremely creative gameplay to Xbox Live Arcade” in the same way Cloning Clyde did before it.

I was sort of indifferent when it came to Clyde, but the concept was good and NinjaBee has come a long way since that game’s initial release. I look forward to hearing more concrete details about Ancients of Ooga, no doubt about it.
