Last month, we asked you to write about the Expanded Universes that surround videogames. There’s a lot more to videogames, from movies, TV shows, cards, fan fiction and to many more. Here are all the Monthly Musing Community blogs that were promoted last month:
- Expanded Universes: Sonic the Hedgehog comics and cartoon — by pedrovay2003
- Expanded Universes: Learning Japanese culture with Mega Man — megaStryke
- Expanded Universes: .Hack — by Batthink
- Expanded Universe: Why do we watch video game movies? — by Lurfadur
- Expanded Universes: Halo, and why I give a damn — by SephirothX
- Expanded Universes: I’m Going to Take the Fan Fiction World by Storm — by Shipero
- Expanded Universes: Triple Triad X — by BulletMagnet
- Expanded Universes: The Life Force/Gradius anime — by Mighty Pinto
- Expanded Universes: The rise and fail of fan-fiction — by Zodiac Eclipse
- Expanded Universes: Why does my wife write fan-fiction? — by Ali D
- Expanded Universe: BattleTech — by brecksher
I learned a lot of things from the Monthly Musings last month. BulletMagnet had a very in-depth piece on a simple card game from Final Fantasy VIII mini-game that grew into something huge. Mighty Pinto told us about the Gradius anime, which I had no idea even existed. Shipero took a stab at fan fiction and he came up with some of the funniest fan fiction I’ve ever read right next to Half-Life: Full Life Consequences.
This month’s theme is Those About to Die where we want to hear about your favorite videogame enemies. If you need some inspiration, check out the first promoted April Musing that talks about Pyramid Head.
