Warner Bros. Interactive has announced a brand new entry in the Gauntlet franchise, set to arrive on Steam later this year — SteamOS and Steam Machines were specifically mentioned. Local and online play will be supported for up to four people, who will be able to select from the Warrior, Wizard, Valkyrie, and Elf classes.
They all apparently have their own unique strengths and weaknesses still, and procedural dungeons and class combos have been namedropped as features. Arrowhead Game Studios has been tapped, who you may recognize as the developers of Magicka and The Showdown Effect. The game looks pretty rough at the moment, but hopefully it smooths out before the final release.
