A new Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer shows us the many faces of Cloud Strife

Lounging Cloud is my mood this week

A new Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer is in town, and it might be the best one yet.

We’re finally getting down to the wire: the moment where everyone wants to see what twists and turns this remake has in store, and this new “Theme Song Trailer” gives it to us. Amid that very song we also get a ton of exposition throughout and a good look at some of the game’s lesser-shown characters.

The Cloud and Sephiroth relationship is highly played up here, amid a series of action sequences that starts at 2:30 in the video below. I mean…I don’t think it could look any better? Some of these changes could ensure that this is the most ambitious remake of all time. If you’re interested, you can check out a behind-the-scenes video of the recording of the theme song here: yes, Uematsu is involved.

We also get to see Cloud all dressed up and chilling in lounge wear! I’m here for both of those looks and Red XIII: who hopefully has a more expanded role this time around. Final Fantasy VII Remake will arrive on PS4 on its reworked April 10 release date.
