While there was a brief mention of Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified at E3 2012, we didn’t hear or see much of substance. Thanks to some retailer listings, a blurb highlighting a few details for the PlayStation Vita exclusive has been making the rounds lately, and now Activision has made it official:

Optimized for gamers on-the-go, Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified delivers the most intense handheld Call of Duty experience to date, including both Special Ops Story mode and Multiplayer combat tailored for the PS Vita.
There’s more than one way to take the tailored-for-Vita comment, so I’ll admit to being unusually interested in seeing what this game ends up looking like. The system may have multiple input methods, but that doesn’t mean all of them need to be used.
