A family oriented Sonic movie from the director of Deadpool is a thing that might happen

Can Urkel play Sonic?

Did anyone want a Sonic movie? Maybe the droves of kids who are born into the series, replacing the adults who swear off of it, do. Someone at Sony thought it was a good idea too, as Sony Pictures is planning a Sonic film.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Deadpool director Tim Miller is in, along with Blur Studio’s Jeff Fowler. This move comes directly after Miller stepped away from the Deadpool sequel allegedly due to creative differences with Ryan Reynolds, possibly because Miller wanted to make it more of an action flick than a comedy (if that’s the case, good work Ryan). This project will of course be more family friendly, and will be a…wait for it…CGI/live action hybrid like the Smurfs series.

If Jaleel White isn’t available, I’d take Roger Craig Smith for Sonic.
