A closer look at the four new characters in Ultra SF IV

Hunh! Hunh! Hunh!

I’m pretty hype for Ultra Street Fighter IV. First, it gives me reason to say the word hype and have it make sense and secondly it finally adds one of my all-time favorite Alpha characters, Rolento, to the game. Though last we heard USF IV was behind schedule and the fifth and final character has yet to be unveiled, Capcom producer Tomoaki Ayano is keeping the info flowing on the first four roster additions weekly over at the Capcom Unity blog

In his latest post, Ayano covers some trademark moves for Rolento, Hugo, Poison, and Elena — complete with basic implementation strategies. Moves like Rolento’s air-controlling “Stinger” knife toss, Poison’s projectile “Aeolus Edge,” Elana’s forward assaulting “Rhino Horn” kick, and of course Hugo’s gargantuan hand smashing clap of doom “Giant Palm Breaker” are all returning and look as deadly as ever.

Ayano goes on to say that the moves shown, as well as those that weren’t, are still evolving though and may change quite a bit once everyone’s had a chance to play.

Hopefully not too much more, as I’m kind of starting to run out patience…
