Cyberpunk 2077 is no stranger to cameo appearances – some you’ll instantly recognize, some you won’t – and I’m still torn. Do they hurt the experience more than they help? How much is too much?

We kind of figured as much, but yeah, Hideo Kojima is featured in Cyberpunk 2077.

CD Projekt Red didn’t go to the effort of depicting the Metal Gear creator on a bike in futuristic garb only to somehow not put him in the dang video game. He’s known in-universe as Hideyoshi Oshima.

Kojima appears early on, ranting about game design from a hotel-bar sofa, in a mission called The Heist.

He asks if you have a pitch, and if you’re familiar with his work.

Classic Kojima.
