My goodness, Creative Assembly’s tactical Total War series has been around for 15 years now. There’s a sale for the occasion, naturally, but it goes further than that: Shogun: Total War and Medieval: Total War have landed on Steam, “compatible with modern resolutions for the first time.”

Steam is also holding a free weekend for the following games:

  • Total War: Attila
  • Total War: Rome II
  • Total War: Shogun 2
  • Total War: Shogun 2 – Fall of the Samurai
  • Empire: Total War
  • Napoleon: Total War
  • Medieval II: Total War

The promotion is underway and will last until Sunday at 1:00pm Pacific. If you decide to buy any of these, they’re 75 percent off — except for Attila, which is only 33 percent off. The sale is valid until Monday at 10:00am Pacific and doesn’t cover the original Shogun or Medieval.
