Red 5 founds League For Gamers, a true advocacy group

Recommended Videos

Firefall developer Red 5 Studios has done nothing but impress the heck out of us with its strong anti-SOPA stance. Now, the team has gone above and beyond, founding its own non-profit advocacy group that aims to truly represent the rights of gamers and fight nasty legislation like SOPA and PIPA.

League For Gamers intends to do what the ESA’s hypocritical Video Game Voters Network can’t — represent every facet of the game industry in the fight against our freedoms. It hopes to attract gamers, developers and supporters and eventually establish itself as a true alternative to the Entertainment Software Association.

Its first duty is to combat PIPA — the Senate-flavored alternative to SOPA.

This is an absolutely fantastic idea from a studio that’s more than willing to put its money where its mouth is. I urge all of you to support this with all your might, so please join up and make this thing buzz. It is exactly what we need.
