Steam on your TV? Valve teases ‘big picture’ mode

Valve has announced a new addition to Steam, dubbed “big picture” mode. We’re not entirely sure what all this is going to entail, but it sounds intriguing, and more details are to come out during GDC this week.

It’s described as offering “controller support and navigation designed for television interaction,” and “will enable gamers to enjoy Steam and their library of Steam games on more screens throughout the house.”

To me, that sounds like they’re streamlining — and perhaps prettying up — the process of playing games on PC or Mac via that gigantic screen of yours. But to what extent? You’re such a tease, Valve.
