The folks at 8bitfix have a holiday tradition. For the past couple of years, they’ve decorated their Christmas tree with Perler Bead sprites — the first was a general gaming tree, the second was Mega Man-themed. This year, it’s all about the Sonic series. Characters represented include Sonic (of course) in his various incarnations and poses, the Chaotix, the Wisps from Sonic Colors, classic Robotnik, and more. Beneath the tree is a bunch of Jazwares Sonic figurines. There’s even a Super Sonic wreath!
There’s a tinge of sadness to this story, however. One staff member’s father came in to help decorate and admire the tree. The next morning, he passed away. At least he was able to share in one final Christmas memory with his family.
