Batman: Arkham City comic book tie-in announced

Makes sense — DC Comics will be publishing a Batman: Arkham City miniseries this fall. The six-issue run will help fill in the blanks between the blockbuster Batman: Arkham Asylum and the upcoming Batman: Arkham City.

The books will be penned by Paul Dini, writer of both the Arkham Asylum and Arkham City games. The comics will also have the same visual vibe as the games: concept artist Carlos D’anda will be bringing the world to life.

Great news is that you won’t even really have to leave the house to read them. They’ll be available day-and-date digitally worldwide for only $2.99 a piece. Additionally, digital adopters will have access to 8-page digital interludes that will be available between the six issue run. The digital interludes are written by Dini, drawn by a smattering of artists, and will run you 99 cents a pop; the interludes will later be printed in a physical Batman: Arkham City collection.

Batman: Akrham City
the comic book kicks off with two issues in May. The game still has no date set in stone, but fall of 2011 seems like a good guess.
