Company of Heroes Online beta to close in March

Recommended Videos

Bit of strange news on the Company of Heroes Online front. The free-to-play game is currently in open beta, but not for too much longer. Relic Entertainment plans to shut down the beta on March 31 “to evaluate the next steps for the Company of Heroes series.”

Perhaps they’re contemplating going back to the traditional full-price strategy rather than one supported by microtransactions. Perhaps not. I’ll leave you to make up your own mind, and hopefully, we’ll hear from THQ or Relic sooner than later.

With the arrival of this news, users can no longer buy COHO Cash. However, any previously purchased funds will still work until March 31. And finally, Cash Card redemptions will be honored until March 1.
