Online pass required for Saints Row: The Third

In news that should surprise very few people, THQ has found a way to make sure that an online pass is required for Saints Row: The Third, even with competitive multiplayer being scrapped. The online co-op for both campaign and Whored Mode will be locked behind a virtual gate, with an included pass required for access. 

People have spoken out recently to confirm that their review copies included the code. As did mine. 

You know the drill by now, and I’m sure many of you are waiting for this to stop being considered a news item. Don’t worry, that time is fast approaching. I’m just trying to hold out for as long as possible, because once it becomes too normal to be considered noteworthy, that’s when the publishers have scored a win.
