If you ever sit and wonder how a simple pick-up-and-play time-waster like Angry Birds could spawn such a large merchandizing machine, take comfort in knowing that it is hardly the first such case. Nope, not by a long shot!

Once Tetris blew up in the States, Nintendo of America granted permission for the production of Tetris Snack Crackers. Tetris. Snack. Crackers. I remember Nintendo Cereal and Sonic the Hedgehog Pasta, but I don’t recall ever seeing this particular food item on grocery shelves. If I had, I would have shoveled handfuls of shapes in my mouth and pretended I was lining up pieces in my stomach; every time I had to take a sh*t, it would have meant I just cleared a row.

The box scans in the gallery come from one Chris Bieniek, who has a butt-load of old videogame paraphernalia stashed away in his closet. The Tetris Snack Crackers box might just be his most bizarre item, but you still ought to check out the rest of his collection of brochures and promo materials on his website. Wild stuff, man!
