Those of you that read my impressions last week and weren’t scared off should be enjoying the insane cave exploration in Spelunker HD. There’s a multiplayer mode that I’m just now getting into, and some new information might make it a bit easier on me. Someone in the know tipped me off on a bit of a cheat for the multiplayer.
Here’s how it works:
When a member of your party dies, don’t revive him as you normally would. He’ll end up back at the beginning of the game with 5 new lives. Five free lives. Sure, he is now separated from the rest of the group, but everything that was previously locked is now unlocked, and if he can catch back up without blowing them all, he’ll have five more lives to play with.
