Telltale Games has updated the official site for their upcoming Back to the Future episodic adventure series with a bunch of new stuff. Above you can see the concept art they released for Biff Tannen, former bully of the 1950’s now a pathetic, car-washing wretch in the 80’s.
Sadly, Biff will not be played by his original actor Tom Wilson. His voice will instead come from Kid Beyond. Additional information on voice actors already announced along with samples of their voices in the game have also been made available on the Back to the Future site.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. A plot synopsis has been added for each of the game’s five episodes, outlining the overall course of the story. I’m psyched to talk about what’s been stated but there are some spoilers in the information for those who want to go into the game completely cold, so I’ll go into further details below.
So, we had already established from the teaser trailer released last week that Doc Brown is stuck in Hill Valley, 1931. The first two episodes in the series, “It’s About Time” and “Get Tannen,” seem as though they will take place predominately in this same time and introduces the period’s contemporary Tannen, the notorious gangster “Kid” Tannen.
As the plot descriptions continue (and based on an existing concept art piece), it’s very strongly suggested that Marty and Doc will cross paths with a young Emmett Brown in 1931 and cause a change in the timeline which results in an alternate 1986 where Doc Brown rules the world. Marty will later work with this “First Citizen Brown” incarnation of the Doc to restore the timeline.
I can’t wait. The Back to the Future films have always centered on the history of the McFly family but I’ve always wanted to know more about Doc. This is some very exciting stuff.
