PC, PSN version of Vogster’s Unbound Saga not planned

While Vogster’s brawler  originally shipped on the PlayStation Portable, it was originally designed on a PC, with high definition visuals in mindUnbound Saga. Last week, the game hit Xbox 360’s Xbox Live Arcade, with crisp HD visuals along with other additional like local and online cooperative play.

Some of you have been asking about a PlayStation Network or PC release, so I went out of my way to find out. While Vogster’s Mike Kennedy tells me it’s technically possible and “relatively easy,” there’s a small snag — it’s a first-party, Microsoft-published title for Xbox Live Arcade.

“I’d imagine there’s some kind of exclusivity they have there,” Kennedy tells me, explaining that even before the PSP version shipped, Microsoft had expressed interest in the beat ’em up. “I don’t know how long that exclusivity is, I don’t know if it’s perpetual or only a year.”

“It’s Xbox exclusive for the foreseeable future,” he added.

So there you have it: if you want team up with a buddy and bust the heads of everything from thugs to werewolves, Xbox Live Arcade is the place to do it. Unbound Saga is out now and will run you 800 MS Points.
