Adam Sandler is still doing that PIXELS movie

Recommended Videos

I’m no Adam Sandler hater, but that’s because he’s never attempted to make a movie about something I care about. Satan’s children, hockey players, Israeli Borat impersonators; that’s all fair game. Start to mess with videogames, and I get nervous.

Still, I’m holding out for hope that Sandler’s adaptation of the short film seen above may actually be amazing. I’m actually surprised that he’s still working on it, but the latest news is that the film will be like “a kind of 21st Century Ghostbusters“.

I was hoping they’d go more for more of a Roger Rabbit/Captain N vibe, but as long as they go down the same road as The Smurfs movie, then all is not yet lost

Look out, Adam Sandler! It’s Donkey Kong’s Space Invading Frogger! [EW.com]
