DICE discusses Battlefield 3’s Battlelog

Recommended Videos

Here’s a highlight reel of what Battlelog offers, though I’m sure many of us know what it does far too well with the Battlefield 3 beta currently open to all willing participants.

When Battlelog was first announced, I was under the impression that it would be supplementary to functionality that was already fully present in the PC version of Battlefield 3 itself. Imagine my surprise, then, when I come to find out you use a web browser to join a multiplayer server, or even the campaign modes.

The promise presented in this video is that of speed, but at what cost? A rather disjointed user experience? Surely there’s a better way, or at least one that doesn’t feel like such a needless mental barrier. What are your thoughts on this stuff, readers?
